Clinical Supervision
Provisional Psychologists and Registrar Psychologists
Karen is available for clinical supervision for Provisional Psychologists working towards general registration and Registrar Clinical Neuropsychologists Psychologists working towards specialist endorsement in Clinical Neuropsychology. She can be a primary or secondary supervisor for registration and endorsement programs.
Supervision for all Psychologists
Karen is available for clinical supervision to Registered Psychologists and Psychologists with any endorsement in relation to cognitive assessment skills, specific assessments for ASD, working with people with neurodevelopmental disorders and/or provide assistance with specific case and assessment interpretation, formulation and recommendations.
Approach to Supervision
Karen takes a developmental, collaborative approach to supervision to understand and jointly work towards each supervisee’s individual goals.
Supervision Areas
Karen has experience in and is able to provide supervision related to:
- Complex presentations
- Choice of and familiarity of standardised assessment tools in the assessment for neurodevelopmental disorders across the life spectrum (inclusive of a range of face-to-face assessment tools and questionnaires/surveys (including autism specific assessment tools))
- Interpretation of assessment results in context
- Diagnostic assessments for ADHD, Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), Intellectual Neurodevelopmental Disorder (Intellectual Disability), Specific Learning Disorders
- Assessments of children and adolescents with brain injury
- Assessments for questions related to "gifted and talented"
- Consideration of complex factors in differential diagnoses including mental health conditions, trauma, speech and language disorders, co-occurring neurodevelopmental disorders
- Undertaking diagnostic assessments in people who are not able to participate in standardised testing
- Capacity assessments for those with neurodevelopmental disorders
- Clinical observational approaches
- Clinical interviews
- Differential diagnosis
- Formulation
- Feedback to individuals, families, health professionals and schools and ways to use feedback as intervention
- Report writing (including recommendations) for different audiences

Types of Supervision
Karen offers once-off, ad-hoc or ongoing individual supervision as needed.
Group supervision may be offered as required and depending upon interest.
Fees
Fees range from $180 to $250 (plus GST) for individual supervision sessions depending on requirements and circumstances.
Group supervision fees will be negotiated at the time of contract.
